Removing Marks

Return to Menu Page

How to remove pencil marks from a quilt top:
3 parts rubbing alcohol
1 part water
1/2 tsp dish detergent

This takes a bit of rubbing but it works well to get rid of them without scrubbing with lots of soap. After removing the marks you may still like to wash the top to make sure nothing bleeds before sandwiching and quilting.

If you prick a finger and get blood on your quilt, use your own saliva to remove it.
