Charity Quilt Challenge 150

To celebrate Canada's 150th Anniversary, the Oakville Quilters' Guild challenged themselves to make 150 lap-sized quilts in 2017.  These quilts will be donated to charitable organizations and many needy families in and around our community.

During Culture Days and Family Day, the families of Oakville designed nine patch blocks which have been included in the 150 quilts along with contributions from the Guild.

A huge "THANK YOU" goes out to our Oakville Guild members who donated quilts and fabric and to those who dedicated hours of their time to work on this project.  We would also like to acknowledge the generous support of Cador Textile Importing Limited, Fabricland, Oakville Sewing Centre and Queen Elizabeth Commuity and Cultural Centre.

A sampling of the 150 quilts will be on display at Queen Elizabeth Community and Cultural Centre from September - November 2017.
